Still Life - This fruit bowl/stand takes inspiration from classical still life paintings, to create a structural object with a strong presence. When the function of a bowl is de-constructed, it becomes an object made of two separate components: surface and borders. Dissecting the function of a bowl into its essential components allows for the extending of its structure as another step in its way towards abstraction.
